Now your new Ufone SIM purchase through Biometric Verification

Ufone is renowned in the industry for taking care of your needs. From voice, data and SMS to entertainment, infotainment and education, we make sure all your telecom needs are met. To safeguard your privacy, to ensure a safe and secure SIM registration process for your peace of mind and to make the SIM registration procedure even more convenient for you, Ufone has decided to implement biometric verification at Ufone Customer Service Centres and Franchises from the 31st of July, 2014 onwards.

Through a simple process, outlined below, you will be able to procure your Ufone SIM in a timely and convenient manner:

Walk into any Ufone Customer Service Center, Franchise or Retail Outlet with your original CNIC.
The Customer Service Representative/Franchise Representative/Retailer will check the CNIC for SIMs already issued. If 5 SIMs have already been issued on the respective CNIC, no further action can be taken. (Customer can check the registered SIMs against his/her CNIC by sending 13 digit CNIC number to 668. This will return the operator wise connection count for the submitted CNIC).
In the case that 5 SIMs have not been issued on the respective CNIC, the details are entered into the system and you will be asked to put your thumb on the biometric machine. Your thumb print (and/or Index Finger and Thumb of both Left and Right hand) will then be verified by the system, through NADRA.
Once verified, your new, pre-activated Ufone SIM is handed over, and a confirmation SMS is sent to the new number at the same time.
In case of unsuccessful verification, you will be informed of the reasons by the sale agent.

Please note that after 31st July, 2014, SIM activation by dialing 789 will desist and SIMs will only be registered through biometric verification. This process has been put in place keeping your privacy and security in mind. You are requested to comply with this new process for your own and national security in mind, so that we can rid Pakistan of the menace of illegal SIM registration.
