It was only
yesterday when we found out that Lenovo is planning to unveil its next flagship
smartphone, the K920, on August 5.
And now
thanks to an executive at the Chinese company, we get to see a picture showing
its back, as well as a full spec list.
Arthur Wei,
Lenovo's Chief Marketing Officer for China, posted the image you can see to the
left on his Weibo account today.
And along
with it he was kind enough to let us know that the handset will be packing
basically all of the previously leaked innards.
Hence, we're
looking at a 6-inch QHD (2560x1440) IPS touchscreen, a 16 MP rear camera with
dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization, a 5 MP front snapper for
selfies, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage space.
The K920,
which will be sold as the Vibe Z2 Pro, is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801
SoC with a 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU, it has dual-SIM support and 4G LTE, and things
are kept running by a huge 4000 mAh battery.
The phone's
dimensions are 156 x 81.3 x 7.7 mm, and its screen takes up 83.5% of the front
fascia. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's Vibe UI 2.0 on top.
Two things
are still not known about the K920 - its pricing and availability. Or to put it
bluntly, whether it will ever be sold outside of China. Hopefully the event on
August 5 will make these things clear too.
Interestingly,
the Lenovo K920 was actually showcased at a mobile expo in China back in
mid-June, so if you want to see more of it check out our coverage of that.
