Google adds a fourth dimension to its Google Earth. Google Inc. was the first search engine to deliver the functionality that we can appreciate in Google Earth, an application that allows you to "navigate" in three dimensions on the globe. After the recent announcement that Microsoft has integrated the 3D rendering of the major American cities within its Live Search, Google stands out from others again, announcing Google Earth 4D, which adds the time dimension to the maps. Of course, not all over the globe and even a significant period of time is covered by the maps "vintage" Google Earth 4D.
For now, for example, you can see how it was New York in 1836 or take a look at the entire globe with maps of 1790. It 's also a detailed map of London in 1843 and in Paris in 1716, making it possible to observe the changes in these centuries.
